Click HERE for our 2015 Annual Report and discover what we’ve been up to this past year. On the last page, you can read about some of our needs for 2016 and how you can help. A few highlights from last year include:
- 4,510 children were served 22,550 lunches through our Kids’ Sack Lunch Program!
- The Shalom House served over 1,200 FREE meals on average each month in 2015.
- Last year we opened our first community raised-bed gardens and distributed tomato plants to those wanting to learn how to garden at home.
- Over 300 volunteer hours went in to renovating the Shalom House. Stop in on a Tuesday evening or Saturday lunch to enjoy a meal and see the “new” Shalom!
Finally, we want to give a special THANK YOU to all who help make Lebanon Community of Shalom what it is today. Three pages of our Annual Report list the names of individuals and community groups who have partnered with us through donations and volunteer efforts to help “inspire and nurture the community of Boone County by sharing meals and encouragement” so that “one day no one will ever experience hunger.”
You all are great! Let’s make 2016 even better!
